How to Track Behaviors for a Student from the mytaptrack® App

Integrating apps with mytaptrack® enhances the capability to track student behaviors directly from a tablet or phone. Follow these steps to set up an app for behavior tracking:

Step 1: Accessing App Management

  1. Navigate to Tracking: Begin by clicking on the "Tracking" navigation item located at the top of the mytaptrack® webpage. This is your gateway to various tracking features.
  1. Go to Apps: Within the Tracking section, locate and click on "Apps". This action will redirect you to the app management page, where you can manage and add new applications.

Step 2: Adding a New App

  1. Initiate App Addition: On the app management page, you'll see a list of apps that have been previously registered on the left. Click the "+ Add" button at the top of this list to create a new app registration.
  1. Name Your App: After clicking "+ Add", a new, unclaimed app registration will appear. Name this app according to the tablet or phone to which the app will be registered, facilitating easy identification and management.

Step 3: Associating a Student with the App

  1. Add a Student: Click the "+ Add Student" button to begin adding a student to your newly created app.
  1. Select the Student: Browse the list of students, click on the student you wish to track with the app, and then click "Next".
  1. Add Behaviors: To specify which behaviors to track, click the "+ Add Behavior" button. Choose the desired behavior(s) from the list to add to the student's profile. These are the behaviors you'll be able to track using the app.
  1. Finalize the Addition: Click "Finish" to complete the process of adding the student along with the specified behaviors to the app.

Step 4: Connecting the App to the Registration

  1. Get QR Code: To connect the physical device (tablet or phone) with the app registration you've just created, click the "Get QR Code and Instructions" button. This will display a unique QR code specific to your new app registration, along with detailed instructions for the setup process on the device.
  1. Scan and Connect: Follow the provided instructions to scan the QR code with the device. This action claims the app registration for the device, linking it to your mytaptrack® account and the student profile you've set up.

Step 5: Adding Additional Apps

If you need to track behaviors for students on more than one device, repeat the process starting from Step 2 for each new device. Remember, each app registration is unique, and after an app has been claimed, its QR code cannot be reused for another device.

Finalizing the Setup

You've now successfully set up an app on mytaptrack® for behavior tracking. This setup allows you to seamlessly track and manage student behaviors directly from your device, ensuring timely and accurate data collection. Each student's behavior data will be readily accessible through mytaptrack®, facilitating easy monitoring and intervention strategies.
