Creating a new student profile on mytaptrack® allows you to track and manage student data effectively. Follow these straightforward steps to add a student to your roster:
Step 1: Initiating the Add Process
- Locate the "+ Add" Button: On your mytaptrack® dashboard, look towards the left of your screen where the student roster is displayed. Above this roster, you will find the "+ Add" button.
- Click "+ Add": By clicking this button, you initiate the process of adding a new student to your account.
Step 2: Entering Student Information
- Input Basic Information: Upon clicking "+ Add," a dialog box will appear requesting the student's basic information. Here's what you'll need to fill in:
- First Name: Enter the student's first name.
- Last Name: Enter the student's last name.
- Nickname: If the student has a nickname or prefers to be called something other than their first name, enter it here.
- School ID (Optional): If applicable, enter the student's school ID. This field is optional and can be left blank if not required.
- Finalize by Adding the Student: After you've entered all the necessary information, click the "+ Add Student" button to proceed.
- Remaining licenses: The number of remaining licenses that are part of your subscription.
Step 3: Customizing Student Settings
- Access Student Settings: Following the addition of the student, you will be automatically directed to the student's settings page. This area allows you to further customize and add specific details about the student.
Step 4: Adding Behaviors
- Scroll to Behaviors Section: Below the general information section on the student's settings page, locate the section dedicated to behaviors.
- Initiate Behavior Addition: Click the "+ Add behavior" button to start adding specific behaviors related to the student.
- Enter Behavior Details:
- Name: Type in the name of the behavior you wish to track or monitor.
- Description (Optional): Provide a description for the behavior. This field is optional and can be used to give more context or detail about the behavior.
- Automatic Save: Upon entering the name and optional description, the information will automatically save, ensuring that the student's profile is updated in real time.
Completing the Process
Once you've added the desired behaviors, the new student profile is all set and ready for use. You'll still need to either track data via a web browser or through the mytaptrack® app, which can be found in the next section.
