1. Go to https://portal.mytaptrack.com/signup and sign-up for a mytaptrack account. If your email is Google/Gmail you can simply click Continue with Google on the left of the screen and proceed to Step 2. Otherwise, sign-up with a new account on the right and proceed to the Email Verification section below.

Email Verification when signing up for a new account

If you must sign-up for an account (not using Google single sign-on) you will be sent an email verification before proceeding, please check your email to verify and continue. If using Google SSO, no email verification is needed

2. Complete your profile and click "Accept".

3. Create your first new student by clicking the "+Create Student" button and complete the new student form.

4.  Complete the "Create new student" form. You only need to add first name, last name, and your role.

  1. "Tags" allow you to group and organize students and can be added later.
  2. Select "Annual Dedicated License" or "Flexible Student License" based on your subscription and Click "Create" (see image below).

Copy behaviors check box

A "copy behaviors from another student" check box will show after you enroll your first student. This will allow you to quickly copy behaviors from a preexisting student to save time if they are similar.

You are now ready to add the behaviors to track for this student.

5. Create the first behavior, event, observation, or goal. You can personalize for each student. Name the behavior (use your language or language directly from an educational plan, it's up to you) (see image below).

6. The description is only visible when using the browser tracking. It will not show in the mobile app due to the limited space, so you can complete or skip for trial purposes. You can complete the description at anytime.

7. If you are going to track the behavior as a duration, check the "Duration" check box. This requires 2 clicks to document (a start and stop). If this is not checked the behavior will be tracked with only frequency. (see image below)

8. This is all you need to complete in order to start tracking. Click "Save" (see image below).

9. Repeat steps 5-8 for each behavior you are tracking for this student.

To enroll the next student: Click the blue + Enroll Student button in the upper left and complete the steps to add behaviors, events, observations, or goals for the new student. (reminder: You have 5 student licenses for your trial)

Targets and Goals- Not required for basic tracking.

This is not required for basic behavior tracking. If you choose to complete a "Target" baseline for a behavior, it will be noted in the graphs for easy +/- visibility. You may also set "Showing Progress" which will drive the Snapshot Report for parent or other support team member. Email support@mytaptrack.com for assistance if needed.

Always click "Save" after making any changes.

Use a naming convention for each phone/mobile app

When naming the phones/mobile apps that are connected for tracking, it helps to start with a consistent naming convention for ease of organization and identification. mytaptrack will show in the data, which phone/mobile app captured each data point.

  • Check off the "track" box for each behavior or event.
  • For the trial, you do not need to select "Notification".
  • Click "Generate".

6. A unique QR code is generated and will be used to scan the student's tracking information into the mytaptrack mobile app. You can also print the QR code with instructions and disseminate to others on the student's support team for accessibility in tracking the student from the mobile app. (see image below)
